Who We Are.

At House of Refuge we are a Spirit-filled church that embraces lively worship and seeks to glorify God.


Our fellowship is made up of people from all walks of life; our commonality is that we believe in and have experienced the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit.


Launched in a home in 2016, House of Refuge has grown into a community of believers that has a vision to bring the great news of Jesus Christ to the lost and hurting around us.  It is our highest hope to be a place of refuge for the soul and a light to Manvel, Tx.

Pastor

Our Pastor, Brian Leatherwood is an ordained minister and has served in many capacities over a lifetime of Christian service. Along with his wife (Mitzi) and daughter (Isabel), they are striving to serve the Manvel and Rosharon community by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Care Groups

The Bible tells us to "pray one for another, that you may be healed..." (James 5:16).

Care Groups are a place of connecting, teaching, prayer and healing. A place where we draw strength and encouragement from each other. We meet in homes every other Thursday evening.
